How a kitchen table project became a global success
It all started with a love for design and a cake smash photoshoot. When photographer Karen explained how difficult it was to find sturdy and stylish cake stands, Brad – a skilled carpenter – decided to make one himself. What began as a small kitchen table project quickly grew into a worldwide brand.
Together with his wife, he spent countless evenings fulfilling orders, answering customer inquiries, and brainstorming new designs. Before long, top bakers and wedding designers discovered their unique creations, and their cake stands were shipped to weddings and events across the world.
The introduction of the Floating Tier Side Bars in 2019 changed everything. Suddenly, a “floating cake” became possible, and the baking world embraced this new concept. Demand grew so rapidly that Prop Options outgrew their home-based setup and moved into their own headquarters on the south coast of England.
