How a kitchen table project became a global success
It all started with a love of design and a cake smash photoshoot. When photographer Karen mentioned how difficult it was to find sturdy and stylish cake stands, Brad, an experienced carpenter, decided to build one himself. What began as a hobby project at the kitchen table quickly grew into a global brand.
He and his wife worked evenings filling orders, answering questions, and developing new designs. Soon, top bakers and wedding designers discovered their unique designs, and the cake stands were being shipped to weddings and events worldwide.
With the introduction of the innovative floating cake tier support in 2019, everything changed. Suddenly, a "floating cake" became possible, and the baking world embraced this creation. Demand grew so rapidly that Prop Options outgrew its premises and opened its own headquarters on England's south coast.
