Product information
With the Dasbi Cake Icon set you present your cake on a sleek display and take it to your customer in the matching tall box. A set consists of 1 display of varnished MDF and 1 box of 25 x 25 x 35 cm, for a cake up to about Ø 20 cm.
What makes the Cake Icon different from a cake board?
The display is a sleek, minimal frame of 3 mm varnished MDF that puts your cake in the spotlight, where a flat cake board disappears under your design. It is supplied flat and quick to assemble. That makes it lovely for modern cakes, wedding cakes and orders where presentation is everything.
How do you transport the cake?
The display with the cake fits the matching 25 x 25 x 35 cm box. Place the box on a flat, firm surface in the car and keep it level. When carrying it, also support it from underneath, and do not stack boxes.
Can the cake sit directly on the display?
Yes, on the varnished surface of the display. According to the Dasbi technical data sheet, the varnish is suitable for dry, moist, acidic and fatty foods. The box is outer packaging only: the cake and its decoration must not touch the board or the window.

Material, food contact and disposal
The display is made of the same varnished MDF as the Dasbi cake boards. The box is made of white E-flute corrugated board of 400 g/m² with a PET window, and is unprinted. According to my supplier's declaration, the sum of lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium in the box is below 100 mg/kg, and the board has been shown to meet the PFAS requirements of Regulation (EU) 2025/40. After use in the Netherlands: display in the residual waste, box with paper and cardboard, window removed and put with plastic packaging (PMD).
Frequently asked questions
Can I reuse the display?
Like the cake boards, the display is intended for single use, so you simply hand it over with the cake.
Can I order the box separately?
Yes, it is the same box as the 25 x 25 x 35 cm tall cake box with handle, sold in packs of 5.
How do I dispose of the set?
In the Netherlands, the MDF display goes in the residual waste. Remove the window from the box and put it with plastic packaging (PMD); the board goes with paper and cardboard. Elsewhere, follow your local rules.
