Cake toppers MDF - Love Birds (5 pcs)

With these cake toppers by Dasbi you put two lovebirds on a twig, together with a little heart, on your cake. The topper is cut from natural MDF in a kraft colour, and the toppers come in packs of 5.

Which cake does this topper suit?

At about 12 x 10 cm, the topper suits the top tier of a wedding cake or a medium-sized cake for an engagement, anniversary or Valentine's Day. In the Wedding packaging and Valentine's Day packaging collections you will find matching packaging and decoration.

Can the topper go straight into the cake?

No. The topper is made of MDF without a food contact varnish and is not edible. According to the Dasbi technical data sheet, the stem must never go into the cake unprotected: every part that may touch the cake, including the tip and the edges, must be fully covered. The decorative part must not touch the cake or its decoration either.

How to place the topper

1. Slide the stem into a sturdy plastic sleeve or a closed-end topper holder suitable for contact with food. Choose one wide enough that you do not have to force the stem.
2. No sleeve to hand? Then wrap the stem tightly in cling film, without gaps, including the tip and the edges.
3. Let the sleeve or film extend above the surface of the cake. Before placing, check that everything is covered, and that the protection does not shift or tear when you push the topper into the cake.
4. Put the topper on the cake as close as possible to presentation time, and remove it together with the protection before cutting or serving the cake.

Material and disposal

The topper is made of MDF, without a food contact varnish or coating. The tests on the varnish of the Dasbi cake boards therefore do not apply to this topper. Use the topper at room temperature and keep it away from flames and lit candles. Do not wash or immerse it; remove dust with a clean, dry cloth. In the Netherlands, MDF does not go with waste paper or organic waste: put the topper in the residual waste after use.

Keep them in their packaging in a clean, dry place, out of the sun and away from moisture, odours and cleaning products. Check before use that they are intact and clean.
