Candy stripe ribbon: the sweet stripe that suits every pastry

This red and white striped ribbon features the classic candy stripe: narrow red bands on white, perpendicular to the length of the ribbon. It’s the pattern of candy canes, paper candy bags, and old-fashioned baker’s twine, and that’s precisely why it works so well on pastries. You don’t need to add anything else: a single bow on a white box immediately finishes the packaging. With a width of 15 mm, this is the perfect fine size, soft enough for a small box of chocolates yet clearly visible on a large cake box.

Woven edge, so no fraying ends

The ribbon has a woven selvage along both sides. The edges are finished during weaving and are not cut from a wider piece. When you cut the ribbon, the edge remains neat, even after a box has been transported or after your customer has untied the bow. With cheap ribbon with cut edges, you often see those frayed edges in photos of the packaging, and especially with a crisp stripe pattern, such a frayed edge immediately stands out.

Fifteen meters on a roll, plenty for an entire series of orders

You order per roll of 15 meters. Allow for approximately 50 to 60 cm of ribbon for a bow on a pastry box, so one roll will make about twenty-five to thirty bows. For a narrow box or a simple band around cookie packaging, 30 cm is sufficient, yielding over fifty bows. Cut the ribbon diagonally with sharp scissors to keep the stripe pattern looking good at the end.

Red and white suits all year round, and especially at Christmas

The red and white stripe is not a seasonal pattern but a bakery classic. It looks great with strawberry pastries, red velvet, red currants, and anything with chocolate, and it works just as well on a pink box of macarons or a pastel-colored sweet box. Around the holidays, the pattern comes into its own, as the stripe naturally evokes the atmosphere of candy canes without needing explicit Christmas decorations. This makes this ribbon one of the few you can use in December and June without it looking out of place.
