Dot cake cups with clear dome lids (50 pcs)

These dot cake cups with dome lids are made for the dot cake: a white 8 oz (200 ml) paper cup with a clear Ø 92 mm dome lid, tall enough for a thick layer of buttercream and sprinkles. The domed lid keeps the toppings intact and on show. You order per set: 50 cups and 50 lids.

Why a dome lid for the dot cake?

Because with a dot cake the topping layer is what sells. The domed lid does not touch the buttercream or the sprinkles, so your customer takes the cake home as it looked in your display case. Together the cup and lid are about 95 mm tall, and through the clear lid the cake sells itself at the counter and in photos.

What else can you use the cups for?

For any dessert you serve fresh or sell to take away: ice cream with whipped cream, mousse, parfait, fruit with sauce or tiramisu in a cup. The cups are suitable for all kinds of food, but not for keeping desserts for days; they are intended for serving and takeaway.

Which box holds several dot cakes?

To hand over two or four dot cakes together, use the boxes for 2 cupcakes or the boxes for 4 cupcakes with shop window, without the insert. Only those boxes are tall enough for cup and dome lid together.

Material, food contact and disposal

The cup is made of white paper with a water-based coating and weighs 7.3 g; the paper was produced under an FSC label, Cupcakedozen.nl is not FSC certified itself. The dome lid is made of rPET with 30 percent recycled PET and weighs 3.6 g. According to my supplier's declarations, the cup and lid are suitable for all kinds of food, for contact of up to 2 hours at up to 70 °C or 30 minutes at up to 90 °C, without long storage afterwards. They are therefore intended for serving and takeaway, not for keeping desserts for days. Both meet the PFAS requirements of Regulation (EU) 2025/40, and the sum of lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium stays below 100 mg/kg.

Disposal in the Netherlands: take the lid off the cup. The lid (01 PET) goes with plastic packaging (PMD). According to the supplier the cup is not recyclable and goes in general waste. Elsewhere, follow your local rules.
