Mini pastries and one-bite cakes: how to pack small portions

A mini pastry deserves the same packaging as a whole cake.

The Puratos trend report shows that almost half of Dutch consumers prefer smaller portions, as long as the taste does not suffer. Search volume for "minidesserts near me" rose by 86%, and online conversations about mini tarts grew by 1,500% in the second quarter of 2025. The Korean "one-bite cakes" are also doing well on social media. Bakels describes the same shift and talks about bites of 20 to 30 grams.

One pastry or two: which box fits?
