Product information
With this Dasbi cake tier ruler you place every tier of your cake exactly in the centre and mark where the supports go in one step. The clear acrylic has rings from Ø 10 to Ø 35 cm, holes for the supports and a hole in the centre.
How do you use the ruler?
- Lay the ruler on the levelled tier that will hold the supports, with the hole exactly in the centre.
- Use a toothpick or skewer to mark through the holes that fall within the size of the next tier.
- Remove the ruler, insert the supports at the marked spots and place the next tier on top.
- Use the centre hole to mark the centre of a board or cake, for example for the dowel of the Cake Frame.
Can the ruler touch the cake?
Yes. According to the Dasbi declaration, the clear acrylic (PMMA) is suitable for contact with all types of food at room temperature or chilled. Do not lay it on a warm cake.
How do you clean the ruler?
Wash the ruler by hand and dry it well; it is not dishwasher safe. Store it flat so it does not warp.

Material, food contact and disposal
The ruler is made of clear acrylic (PMMA). According to my supplier's declaration, it is suitable for contact with all types of food at room temperature or chilled, and it complies with the European rules for food contact materials, including Regulation (EU) 10/2011 on plastics. It is a tool, not packaging: in the Netherlands, put a worn ruler in the residual waste, not with plastic packaging (PMD).
Frequently asked questions
Are supports or dowels included?
No, you are buying the ruler only. Supports, cake boards and a dowel are ordered separately.
Does the ruler work with the Cake Frame?
Yes. The centre hole shows exactly where the dowel of the Cake Frame goes, and the holes mark the supports in each tier.
How do I dispose of the ruler?
The ruler is not packaging. In the Netherlands, put it in the residual waste, not with plastic packaging (PMD). Elsewhere, follow your local rules.
