This red sweet box, 23 x 12.5 x 5 cm, is the holiday box for your cookies: printed red and varnished, with a shop window with its scalloped awning edge that makes your Christmas cookies or Valentine treats stand out at once. You order in packs of 10 or 25, depending on how busy you are.

When do you choose the red sweet box?

For Christmas, Saint Nicholas, Valentine's Day and as a corporate gift at the end of the year. Red gives your cookies a festive look without extra work. With a satin ribbon, cord, a sweet box sticker or a sleeve the box suits any theme.

Why does this box work so well in the busy weeks?

I designed this range myself, drawing on my own background as a baker. The sweet box is one piece and clicks into shape with a click-clack closure: fold it open and it stands, without folding or gluing. The lid stays open upright, so you can fill a whole row of boxes at once. Put a sheet of greaseproof paper on the bottom and the cookies lie neatly.

Which boxes match it?

The red bento box has the same colour and the same window, so you present bento cakes and cookies as one range. Prefer a lighter colour? Choose the white or pink sweet box.

Material, food contact and disposal

The box is made of 370 g/m² GC2 board. The box is printed red and varnished. The window is PET. The board was produced under an FSC label; Cupcakedozen.nl is not FSC certified itself. According to my supplier's declaration of compliance, the box is suitable for direct contact with dry and fatty foods, such as cookies, brownies, macarons or cakesicles, at room temperature or colder. It is not intended for moist, acidic or liquid foods, or for the oven or microwave. The box meets the PFAS requirements of Regulation (EU) 2025/40, and the sum of lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium stays below 100 mg/kg.

Disposal in the Netherlands: remove the window from the box. The box (21 PAP) goes with paper and cardboard, the window (01 PET) and the film around the set with plastic packaging (PMD). Elsewhere, follow your local rules.

Both are possible. Packs of 10 are handy for small runs or to try it out; packs of 25 for the busy weeks around the holidays. The box is the same either way.

Can the box with its contents go in the freezer?

Yes, according to my supplier's specification this box is suitable for the freezer. Food contact has been assessed at room temperature or colder; oven and microwave are excluded.

In the Netherlands the empty box (21 PAP) goes with paper and cardboard. Remove the PET window (01 PET) first; it goes with plastic packaging (PMD). Elsewhere, follow your local rules.
