Red bento box - shop window (25 pcs)

This red bento box, 16 x 16 x 10 cm, is made for the festive season: a warm red box, printed and varnished, with a shop window with its scalloped awning edge that makes your Christmas or Valentine cake stand out at once. You order in packs of 25, handy for the busy weeks around the holidays.

When do you choose the red bento box?

For Christmas, Saint Nicholas, Valentine's Day and the autumn and winter months. Red gives your bento cake a festive look without extra decoration; with a bento topper or a satin ribbon the gift is complete.

How do you fill the box without damaging your cake?

I designed this range myself, drawing on my own background as a baker. The lid stays open upright and the front folds open, so you slide the cake on its 16 x 16 cm cake card in flat instead of lowering it from above. The box is one piece and pops up; you click the side flaps in place with small feet at the sides.

Can you use the box for cookies as well?

Yes. With a sheet of greaseproof paper on the bottom it is a roomy box for Christmas cookies, brownies or chocolates. For flat cookies there is the red sweet box in the same style; prefer a lighter colour, choose the white or pink bento box.

Material, food contact and disposal

The box is made of 370 g/m² GC2 board. The box is printed red and varnished. The window is PET. The board was produced under an FSC label; Cupcakedozen.nl is not FSC certified itself. According to my supplier's declaration of compliance, the box is suitable for direct contact with dry and fatty foods, such as bento cakes with buttercream, cookies or brownies, at room temperature or colder. It is not intended for moist, acidic or liquid foods, or for the oven or microwave. The box meets the PFAS requirements of Regulation (EU) 2025/40, and the sum of lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium stays below 100 mg/kg.

Disposal in the Netherlands: remove the window from the box. The box (21 PAP) goes with paper and cardboard, the window (01 PET) and the film around the set with plastic packaging (PMD). Elsewhere, follow your local rules.

How do you assemble the bento box?

The box is one piece and pops up. You click the side flaps in place with the small feet at the sides, and the lid stays open upright while you fill it. The front flap lets you slide the cake in and out easily.

Which cake board goes with the bento box?

The matching board is the square 16 x 16 cm cake card. It is not included and is ordered separately; order it with the box and you get an extra discount with a bundle deal.

Is there a red box for cookies in the same style?

Yes, the red sweet box of 23 x 12.5 x 5 cm has the same window and the same colour. That way you present bento cakes and cookies as one recognisable range.

Can the box with its contents go in the freezer?

Yes, according to my supplier's specification this box is suitable for the freezer. Food contact has been assessed at room temperature or colder; oven and microwave are excluded.

How do you dispose of the box?

In the Netherlands the empty box (21 PAP) goes with paper and cardboard. Remove the PET window (01 PET) first; it goes with plastic packaging (PMD). Elsewhere, follow your local rules.
