Box for 20 cupcakes (10 pcs)

This box for 20 cupcakes, 46 x 32 x 10 cm, carries a whole order in one go: 10 window boxes, each with an insert with 20 round cut-outs of Ø 60 mm. Every cupcake sits in its own compartment, and through the large window in the lid your customer sees them straight away. You order in packs of 10: 10 bases, 10 lids and 10 inserts.

Why one box for 20 cupcakes?

Because you then hand over a large order in one go, without a stack of separate boxes. The sturdy 550 g/m² base carries twenty cupcakes with generous toppings, and the 400 g/m² insert keeps them in place on the road. With the notches in the lid you make the box 12 cm tall, so toppers and tall buttercream fit without damage.

How strong is this box?

These boxes are real powerhouses. The board is so sturdy that the insert does not sag in the middle, even with every compartment filled. The window deliberately has straight edges rather than an awning shape, so it does not matter whether you use the box in portrait or landscape orientation. The cut-outs are fully round, so the cupcakes stand neatly in rows; that looks tidy in the box and in photos. If you do not need the insert, use the same box for a number cake or sheet cake. The box without an insert is available as the XL number cake box. Finish the box with a satin ribbon, cord, a themed sticker or a sleeve.

Material, food contact and disposal

The base is made of 550 g/m² GC2 board, the lid of 400 g/m² GC2 board with a PET window, and the insert of 400 g/m² GC2 board. The board was produced under an FSC label; Cupcakedozen.nl is not FSC certified itself. According to my supplier's declaration of compliance, the box and insert are suitable for direct contact with dry and fatty foods, such as cupcakes with buttercream, at room temperature or colder. They are not intended for moist, acidic or liquid foods, or for the oven or microwave. The box meets the PFAS requirements of Regulation (EU) 2025/40, and the sum of lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium stays below 100 mg/kg.

Disposal in the Netherlands: remove the window from the lid. Base, lid and insert (21 PAP) go with paper and cardboard, the window (01 PET) and the film around the set with plastic packaging (PMD). Elsewhere, follow your local rules.

Frequently asked questions

Which cupcakes fit in the insert?

Each cut-out is Ø 60 mm, suitable for standard-size cupcakes. The box is 10 cm tall and 12 cm with the notches in the lid, so there is room for generous toppings and cupcake toppers.

Can you use the box without the insert?

Yes. Without the insert it holds a number cake, sheet cake or large dessert box. If you only need the box, order the XL number cake box.

Can the cupcakes go straight into the box?

Yes. According to my supplier's declaration of compliance, the box and insert are suitable for direct contact with dry and fatty foods, such as cupcakes with buttercream.

Can the box with cupcakes go in the freezer?

Yes, according to my supplier's specification the box and insert are suitable for the freezer. Food contact has been assessed at room temperature or colder; oven and microwave are excluded.

How do you dispose of the box?
